Message from Sean Noga, CEO Unizen

Welcome to our fourth edition of the Unizen Weekly Pulse where we share a round-up of the latest news and announcements from across the Unizen Ecosystem.

This week we were proud to announce the Unizen Supernode Program where we will support a diverse range of blockchain projects by running nodes and providing liquidity. In addition to supporting our partner projects, node rewards will be used to help diversify staking benefits of our dynamic multi asset staking program (DMAS) ensuring our community share in the long-term success of our ecosystem.

This week saw the exciting finale of our Tournament of the ALTS 2.0 competition, with a closely fought battle between Zenon Network and Aleph Zero. ZenX will now fast-track / shortlist incubation / acceleration for projects building on top of these blockchains.

We also spotlight and celebrate the achievements of Dimitra, our incubated project, on a mission to improve the livelihoods of the worlds 570 million smallholder farmers and who were recently featured in CIO Reviews Top 20 AI companies of 2021.

Finally, we also celebrate the achievement of two of our incubated projects, Geeq ($GEEQ) and Alkimi ($ADS), who this week achieved listings on Kucoin, helping to ensure that our early stage incubated projects benefit from increased awareness and trading options for our collective communities.

Unizen Supernode Program

Unizen will support emerging blockchain projects by running validator nodes / providing liquidity. Validation network will consist of validation supernodes, run by Unizen as well as partner projects, and smaller nodes that can be run by any user.

Partners in the Supernode program are selected by the team and heavily contribute to the growth and development of the ecosystem. “Unizen Supernodes” are the validator nodes run by Unizen to support and secure the selected networks.

The Unizen Supernodes will be constantly increasing in number, leading to even higher decentralization and performance. The Unizen community will be constantly updated on the progress of adding new Supernodes to the system – along with the comprehensive introduction of the teams and details of their nodes.

To bring mass exposure to projects under Unizen Supernode Program, a portion of validator rewards will also be part of our Dynamic Multi Asset Staking (DMAS) pools ensuring that our community shares in the success of our continued growth and expansion with our partners.

Cirus is now on BSC and available as Google Chrome extension

Cirus, accelerated by ZenX Labs, is now available on BSC using MultiChain (formerly AnySwap). This partnership exposes the Cirus Ecosystem to an even larger user base and provides deeper exposure to the project. It also establishes strong roots at the protocol level and sets the foundation for future partnerships and integrations.

Another major step towards increased availability of Cirus is the release of Web Browser Extension for Google Chrome. Anyone and anywhere can use Cirus extension to earn for their data — it’s an open gateway to Cirus DeFi ecosystem. The data is securely and privately collected to the personal account, and it’s up to each user to decide what data to share and monetize.

A lot of amazing updates has been happening at Cirus — stay tuned for a much deeper review

Unizen Tournament of the ALTS 2.0:

The Final

This week we witnessed an exciting conclusion to our Unizen Tournament of the ALTS 2.0 competition with Zenon Network being crowned as the overall competition winner. During the final battle between Zenon and Aleph Zero the combined communities saw a total of 9,082 votes, with Zenon recording 52% of the community vote.

With Zenon Network achieving the Gold Prize, Aleph Zero in Silver and Terra Money in Bronze our team at ZenX Labs will now work closely with the winners to fast track / short list incubation / acceleration for projects building on top of their respective blockchain networks.

We are particularly proud of the engagement and energy from across the communities of these diverse range of Layer-1 Protocols that helped make the competition a great success and raise awareness of the Unizen Ecosystem.

Dimitra AG featured in CIO Review Top 20 Artificial Intelligence Companies 2021

This week we spotlight Dimitra AG who have been recognised in the 2021 CIO Review as one of the Top 20 Artificial Intelligence companies.

Dimitra has a bold mission to play a lead role in decentralizing agriculture and enabling every farmer to avail of sophisticated technology that was previously only available to large providers.

The team at Dimitra is already working closely with governments and non-governmental organisations to roll out its ‘Connected Farmer’ platform, available to smallholder farmers in developing nations, free of charge. The platform enables users to access actionable data and insights, breaking the cycle of poverty, enriching their economy through increased crop yields and healthier livestock.

The widespread access to mobile phones even in poor economies is a critical driver of the solution. Dimitra delivers a mobile-ready platform to help run their businesses, learn new farming techniques, record their performance, and communicate with government ministries and agricultural experts. The expense involved in these tasks was previously unaffordable to many.

“Every smallholder farmer, regardless of economic status, should be able to benefit from simple, beautiful and useful technology because when farmers thrive, so do economies” says Jon Trask, CEO Dimitra AG.

Dimitra’s target is to grow its AgTech platform to 100 million smallholder farmer users over the next three years. In 2021 it has set itself two additional objectives. One is to advance AgTech innovation, and the other is to secure operational grants for developing countries around the world to enable participation in the Dimitra eco-system.

Kucoin Listings: Geeq and Alkimi

We would like to congratulate two of our incubated projects, Geeq and Alkimi, who this week were announced as new listings on Kucoin.

Trading for GEEQ/USDT pair opened at 10:00 on December 21st (UTC) while trading for ADS/USDT and ADS/BTC commenced at 10:00 on December 23rd (UTC).

Our team at ZenX labs continues to work extremely closely to leverage our extended network and support increased opportunities, acceleration and adoption for projects who are part of our incubation program.

Final Word

We are proud to continue to expand our ecosystem this week with the launch of the Unizen Supernode Program, which we believe will continue to offer our community exciting prospects to share in the mutual success of our ecosystem and the extended communities of our partners.

We see this as another step toward delivering our altruistic mission and providing our community with compelling opportunities to share in the long-term success of the Unizen Ecosystem.

For what has been a difficult year in many parts of the world in 2021, we’d like to take this opportunity to wish our community our best wishes for a safe and happy festive season.
